About the Competition

The Miss Kansas Volunteer and Miss Kansas Teen Volunteer Pageant will take place in Leavenworth, Kansas Fall 2025. Throughout the weekend, contestants will be given the opportunity to showcase their individual style and gain confidence through participation in interview, gown, fitness, and talent competitions. Throughout their participation, it is our goal for each contestant to serve as a role model to their communities while gaining important life skills in public speaking, interview, stage presence, fundraising, and more!


To become a local contestant for the 2025 Miss Kansas Teen Volunteer pageant, contestants must submit an application (link below), as well as schedule an intake interview with our board members.

There is a $400 entry fee to compete in the 2025 Miss Kansas Volunteer pageant. This entry fee with secure your spot in the competition, as well as cover the local sash fees. We will not be offering local crowns, beginning in the 2025 pageant season (crowns can be purchased for an additional cost).

Phases of Competition

The Miss Kansas Volunteer Competition is composed of four areas of competition, each is equally weighted. The areas of competition are:

  1. Personal Interview with Judges (25%)

  2. Evening Gown (25%)

  3. Fitness & Wellness (25%)

  4. Talent (25%)

There is also an on-stage question portion of competition that the top five contestants will compete in, to determine the final ballot.

Contestant Eligibility

In order to meet residency requirements to compete, a contestant must have a home address in the state of Kansas, be actively attending college courses in the state of Kansas or be actively employed in the state of Kansas.

In order to meet age eligibility requirements to compete, a contestant must be at least 17 years of age on the first day of the state pageant and can be : 

     1) no older than 26 years old on the 31st Day of December in the year of the National Pageant for which she would compete, OR 

     2) no older than 26 years old on the first day of the state pageant, OR

     3) no older than 26 years old on the date she wins a local title or is appointed a title to an at-large state pageant.

*NOTE:  A Miss Contestant must have completed her high school education
